Variable Gain Amplifiers
Variable gain amplifiers (VGAs) have been used in a variety of remote sensing and communications equipment for more than a half-century. Applications ranging from ultrasound, radar, lidar to wireless communications—and even speech analysis—have utilized variable gain in an attempt to enhance dynamic performance.
